I have loved November. There have been dates and museum outings and breakfast meetups and a visit from my mom and Thanksgiving/Friendsgiving to kick off the holiday season, which is obviously my favorite.
Today is also the last day of NaBloPoMo. I started off NaBloPoMo with great focus and intent and that more or less died about halfway through the month. I’m trying not to be too hard on myself about it, but I really could have done better. In my defense, life has been a lot of fun and I’ve been a little distracted. I’m typing this here to hold myself accountable:
I WILL BE MORE CONSISTENT WITH POSTING IN DECEMBER.
Now that that’s settled, I’d like to show you my November.
At the beginning of the month I spent a day exploring downtown Denver, which I never get tired of.
The foliage in my favorite park.
I went to a Michael Buble concert with Mom. It was incredible.
Cannons shot heart-shaped confetti over the audience.
Went to space at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
The planetarium is one of my favorite places in Denver.
Mom and me playing around with the thermal camera in the Panetarium.
Some tiny dinosaurs.
All I can ask is that someday I’m somebody’s coffee. (I’m sorry for being corny, but I found this and loved it.)
I made Jell-O shots meant to taste like cranberry sauce to take to Friendsgiving. They were a hit.
My cousin looking dashing in the turkey hat.
We prepared a feast our parents would have been proud of. While my cousin and our friends were together, our parents were celebrating together in South Dakota. It made it a little easier to be away from home.
The house where we spent Friendsgiving is in Golden, right in the foothills of the Rockies, and the views were incredible. A gorgeous setting in which to spend a fun holiday with great people.
My cousin was so proud of the turkeys she made. She’s made them every year since elementary school.
Risky business making gravy.
Look how festive this group of pretty people is!
….and this shirt. I’m really excited about it.
